A Wigmore Hall performance

Thanks to Alison being selected to compete for a Sir James Caird Travelling Scholarship, she was given the opportunity to perform a program in the Wigmore Hall.

Alison wins the Harold Clarke Woodwind Competition!

After a very eventful performance with some unexpected fireworks, Alison very proud to be awarded the Harold Clarke Prize for Woodwind by flautist Julian Coward as a result of her performances of Eugene Bozza's Bucolique and Nikola Resanovic's Alt.Music.Ballistix.

Finalist in the Harold Clarke Woodwind Competition

Despite strong competition, Alison has been sent to the final of the Trinity College of Music, Harold Clarke Competition for Woodwind.

Nyos Staffa Award Nomination

Alison was very fortunate to have been nominated by the principal of Trinity College of Music to represent the college in the prestigious Nyos Staffa award competition. This award requires all of the conservatories in UK to nominate two of their highest level students to compete for this prestigious award. A great privilege!

A performance for Tarnopolski

Alison will give a performance with Alisa Liubarskaya and Cristina Maria Buga of Vladimir Tarnopolski's Echoes of a Passed Day for clarinet, cello and piano in the presence of the composer to celebrate his most recent trip to London.

First performance on French soil

Alison has been selected to take part in the Young Janacek Philharmonic Orchestra's tour of France in December performing under the baton of Maestro Jan Latham Koenig. The orchestra will give a performance of Kaija Saariaho's opera in five acts, L'Amour de Loin in the presence the composer at La Comedie de Clermont Ferrand.

UK premier of Tansman's Clarinet Concerto

Alison is excited to be giving the UK premier of Aleksander Tansman's Clarinet Concerto with the Alvarez Chamber Orchestra at St John's Smith Square, London. www.sjss.org.uk

A concert with Zygmunt Krauze!

Alison has been invited to perform with legendary Polish composer and pianist Zygmunt Krauze at a 70th birthday concert for him. They will be performing his Quatour pour le Naissance at St John Smith's Square, London in November 2008.

Alison to perform at Glasgow University's Recital Series

As a result of her multiple wins in Glasgow earlier in the year, Alison has been invited to perform a recital at the Glasgow University Recital Series in October with Claire Haslin.

The Andralison Trio are finalists!

The Andralison Trio has progressed to the final of the prestigious Cavatina Chamber Music Competition playing Brahms' Clarinet Trio Op. 114. Alison is the only wind player to have reached this stage.

The winner of the "most outstanding performance" of the competition

Alison returned to Glasgow performing her program from the previous 20th Century heat at the Glasgow Music Festival and was awarded the Allie Cullen Memorial Prize in addition to the John Fyfe Trophy, for the most outstanding performance at this year's festival. An amazing day all round made even better by the presence of her family and its occurrence on home soil!

Alison is a multiple winner at the 2008 Glasgow Music Festival!

During a very busy day with stiff competition, Alison wins first place in the Sonata and 20th Century heats at the Glasgow Music Festival resulting in her progression to a Premiere Wind and Brass round which she also gained first place. Onto the grand finale!

Alison records for Naxos!

As part of the Trinity College of Music Wind Orchestra, Alison makes a recording of three wind symphonies by the Armenian/American composer Alan Hovhaness (1911-2002). The recording was made in Blackheath Halls, London and will be released by the world's leading classical music label, Naxos!
